Most tourism businesses try to maximise numbers.

More people. More noise. More sessions.

We deliberately went the opposite direction.

Ragged Edge 4×4 is private because the experience works better that way.

No groups. No waiting around. No spectators judging people.

Just one buggy, one instructor and one customer.

That structure creates trust.

Customers relax. They ask questions. They make mistakes. They improve.

And improvement is the entire point.

Our experiences are not passive entertainment. They are skill-based experiences.

The customer drives. The customer learns. The customer solves the problem.

That’s why repeat customers keep returning. Because progression matters and we dont want to be the biggest, but we do aim to be the best.

Chris was super welcoming and a down to earth guy. Made it super easy to learn how to drive the buggies (never driven anything like it), while making the experience super fun! Would recommend for anyone - a complete beginner like we were, or someone who’s had a bit of practise. Well done Chris, had an absolute blast of a time!! Can’t wait to see what other scary courses you come up with!

Had such a great time! Booked the 2 hour experience and got to do 4 tracks with Chris guiding through the tricky bits (most of it). It was a lot of fun building skills through the courses and getting used to steering your back and front wheels independently. Felt safe, challenging and professional, and Chris was easy to crack a joke with. We joked that it feels like driving a back-steering trolley when you get used to it which he’d “never heard that one before”. Great day - well worth it!

Surprised my boyfriend with a Ragged Edge 4x4 experience for his birthday and we had a great time! Perfect weather and lots of banter from Chris made for a really fun day out!
Some of the obstacles looked really challenging but Chris gave great instruction and we got through them all unscathed :)

Chris, our instructor, was incredible. He was so patient, calm, and genuinely great at working with people. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and confident, no matter our skill level.

His clear guidance and relaxed approach made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free.
What really stood out was how patient and understanding he was throughout the entire session, nothing felt rushed, and he made sure we were both having a great time.

Thanks to Chris, my partner’s birthday was truly special.

Had an AMAZING experience doing 4x4 here! The track was so fun with lots of different skills to practice around the course. Chris was a very patient and fun instructor. Would 100% recommend and will be back for another go!!
