Father’s Day has a habit of sneaking up on us.
And then comes the annual question:
What do you buy Dad?
Another shirt? Another bottle? Something for the shed?
Or you could give him something he’ll still be talking about long after Father’s Day is over.
This year, Ragged Edge 4×4 is doing Father’s Day a little differently.
Ragged Edge is now Founder Led
After 18 years of Ragged Edge, I’ve made the decision to personally run every driving experience.
That means when Dad arrives at Ragged Edge, I’ll be the person who meets him, puts him behind the wheel and guides him through the experience from beginning to end.
It’s allowed me to take Ragged Edge back to what I always wanted it to be: small, personal and focused completely on the driver in front of me.
But there’s a trade-off.
I can only run so many experiences.
So this Father’s Day, we’re limiting the number of Gift Vouchers available.
20 of each package. That’s it.
There are six Ragged Edge packages to choose from this Father’s Day, with options across different experience lengths, days and budgets.
Only 20 Gift Vouchers for each package will be released.
When those 20 are gone, they’re gone.
No extra allocation in the final week before Father’s Day. No increasing the numbers because a particular package sells out.
The limit is there because I want every voucher we sell to represent an experience I can personally deliver.
Which experience should I buy Dad?
You don’t need to know anything about 4WDing to choose.
Ragged Edge isn’t about seeing how fast Dad can drive a buggy around a track.
It’s never been about speed.
It’s about solving problems from behind the wheel.
Dad learns to control a purpose-built V8 rock crawler with front and rear steering, then works his way through increasingly challenging terrain while I guide him from outside the vehicle.
For most Dads, the question isn’t whether they’ll be capable of doing it.
It’s simply how much of the Ragged Edge experience you want to give them.
Our packages range from an introduction to rock crawling through to the full Pro experience.
And because every session is one-on-one, Dad isn’t sharing his driving time with a group of strangers.
It’s his experience.
You can come too
One of my favourite parts of Ragged Edge has always been seeing families experience it together.
Depending on the package, up to four passengers can come along for the ride at no additional cost.
So although Dad gets the driver’s seat, you don’t necessarily have to hand him a voucher on Father’s Day and wait at home to hear about it later.
You can be there when he discovers exactly what a 2.5-tonne V8 rock crawler can do.
And, occasionally, remind him of the line he should have taken.
Father’s Day — Sunday 6 September
This Father’s Day, you could give Dad something he’ll use.
Or something he’ll remember.
Six packages. 20 Gift Vouchers of each. Founder led.
Once each allocation is gone, it’s gone.
Give Dad the driver’s seat.
